Eskom Finished the Audit on Xiamen Huadian

Oct 17, 2008, Xiamen – Eskom Holdings, wholly owned by the South African government conducted a complete roundful audit on Xiamen Huadian from Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2008. Audit team members, Mr. Tumo Makhopochane, Mr. Johann Jordaan and Mr. Brian Warburton evaluated Huadian’s manufacturing process for MV switchgears and VCBs on commercial, technical and quality perspective separately.
After a brief introduction by both parties, Eskom’s representatives paid a visit to the factory and office building of Xiamen Huadian. They were impressed by the good factory housekeeping, neatness of facility and good information transfer of communication in terms of quality and safety realized by posters and signage. Huadian’s team answered Eskom’s questions with supportive documents for their review. Eskom’s audit members were impressed by the good communication and relationship between management and employees and the willingness of all the employees to assist, contribute and provide information.
After 3 days visit, Eskom’s audit team concluded a positive feedback and also suggests some improvement to be taken.
